Mazley was born in 2015. In 2024 her owner decided to surrender her because she was old and dying. She didn't want her son to see it. Mazley lived in a beautiful 40-gallon tank with a nice basking area and UVB. Everything seemed perfect. The owner was sure Mazley had severe arthritis because of her having trouble walking and eating, plus she was 8 years old.
Upon further investigation, we found the UVB bulb had never been replaced in 8 years. There was no doubt Mazley did not have Arthritis. She had Metabolic Bone Disease. She also had a vision problem from a Vitamin D deficiency. 8 is not old for a Bearded Dragon. I expect Mazley to reach at least 14. Your donation can help ensure Mazley has a long life.
