This is El Paco, a Red Monster Bearded Dragon.

El Paco came to live with us in October of 2025.  The previous owner didn't have him for very long.  He was considered a rescue from a breeder who planned to use him as a feeder for his snakes because he was small.  The previous owner already had a full-grown Beardie.  But after a short time, he decided he didn't have the time to care for a second beardie.

He's about a year old and with a possible respiratory infection.  He was the runt of the litter, but the previous owner did an excellent job of fattening him up.  But, unfortunately, the humidity was too high, causing the infection.  He came with an enclosure, lights, food... everything he needs except medicine.  He'll need medical care to recover from the infection.  So donate to El Paco.    

January 2026 Update:  El Paco passed away from liver failure due to complications with a respiratory infection.  Donations to El Paco will go to buy medicine for other guests in our shelter.
